Our goal is to teach life skills and values such as discipline, self-esteem, character, teamwork, and more. We offer programs in such great sports as volleyball, football, soccer, and football. Rather than focusing just on performance on the field, Chula Vista Youth Sports encourages children of all levels of experience and skill to participate, have fun, and learn more about the sports they love.
We teach sports in a non-competitive way so that all kids can learn at their own pace and develop skills both on the field and off of it. More importantly than the performance of the kids when they are playing the sports is how they grow as people and take with them experiences that can last a lifetime. Our aim is to make sure each and every child is having fun throughout their time at Chula Vista Youth Sports so they will feel compelled to return time and again and build relationships with other children in the program.
Two of the most valuable attributes that we believe can be fostered through youth sports are self-esteem and character.
Self-esteem is important for people of all ages, but it is especially important to instill in young people and can be done through learning to play team sports such as the ones we offer. We are dedicated to the development of youth by learning the values and work ethic that sports are able to teach. Less concerned with winning and losing than with teamwork and life lessons, Chula Vista Youth Sports aims to be a place where all kids can come, participate, and have fun with other children of a similar age.
We currently offer four great sports for kids to participate in as part of our programs. As with all sports, playing basketball as part of the Chula Vista Youth Sports organization is an opportunity for kids to make new friends and form long-lasting relationships. Teamwork is crucial to success in volleyball, so communication and self-confidence skills will be naturally built as a child grows on the court.
