Microsoft wireless keyboard does not work but mouse does




















When did it last work correctly? What has changed since then? Is there a System Restore point to roll back to before then? I suspect driver corruption or some other issue since when switching on the PC from a cold-start, the wireless keyboard is not responsive in Windows 8. The keyboard has not stopped responding since my post; If it does, I will try the steps you mentioned although it is extremely difficult when you don't have a spare keyboard handy.

Whenever there is an update regarding any device driver and if it is not updated automatically, the device might start behaving in the same manner as your case.
